Job summary

Sentry is seeking a Part-Time Fabrication Intern to join our Watertown manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves measuring, cutting, fitting, welding, and assembling parts in a workshop setting. Training will be provided; prior welding or fabrication experience is a plus but not required.

The position offers a flexible part-time schedule with on-the-job learning, working alongside an experienced team to build practical fabrication and welding skills for your career.

Qualifications

• Interest in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Dependable and able to work as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cutting, fitting, welding, and assembly of fabricated parts.
• Measure and prepare materials for production.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication work as trained.
• Check completed work for quality and accuracy.
• Follow shop safety procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Help with other manufacturing and shop projects as needed.
