Job summary

CorTech International is seeking a skilled Fabrication & Welding Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.). The role involves repairing, modifying, and fabricating production equipment and components, with hands-on welding and machining tasks.

You will read drawings, create simple sketches, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate has MIG, TIG, or Stick welding experience, basic machining skills, and familiarity with measurement

Qualifications

  • MIG, TIG, or Stick welding experience.
  • Basic machining with drills, lathes or mills.
  • Read and understand simple fabrication sketches.
  • Knowledge of calipers, tapes, micrometers.
  • Familiar with manufacturing environments and CI concepts.
  • Work Mon–Fri, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, fabricate, and modify production equipment.
  • Fabricate parts using hand tools, CNCs, and milling machines.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as needed.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Create fabrication sketches and layouts.
  • Support maintenance and process-improvement projects.
  • Inspect repaired components for quality and safety.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Document repairs and fabrication work.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. Pay: $17.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication & Welding Technician to repair, modify, and fabricate manufacturing equipment and components. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with welding, machining equipment, mechanical drawings, and shop measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair manufacturing carts, racks, fixtures, and other production equipment.
  • Fabricate replacement parts using hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and machining equipment.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding to repair or modify components.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, sketches, and specifications.
  • Create simple fabrication sketches and layouts.
  • Assist Manufacturing Technicians with equipment and process‑improvement solutions.
  • Create prototypes, custom tools, and production aids for continuous‑improvement projects.
  • Inspect repaired and fabricated components for quality, safety, and functionality.
  • Safely operate grinders, drills, saws, welding equipment, and other shop machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Document repairs, modifications, and fabrication work.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering teams to support production needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
  • Basic machining experience using drill presses, lathes, or milling machines.
  • Ability to create and understand simple fabrication sketches and layouts.
  • Knowledge of measurement tools, including calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and continuous‑improvement concepts.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience using CNC or other fabrication equipment.
  • Strong attention to quality and workplace safety.
