Qualifications

Job description

Rate of Pay: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour (paid weekly)

Overtime Rate: $33.00 to $36.00 per hour


1st Shift Schedule:

  1. Monday thru Friday; 7:00am to 3:30pm
  2. Overtime always available; paid breaks

JOB SUMMARY: The primary task of the Fabrication Welder is the accurate construction of platen assemblies. The platen assemblies are rectangular boxed weldments built from structural steel that must be built to precise measurements and tolerances. The platens are critical to the core functionality of the custom machines we manufacture.


Below is a list of the primary daily tasks:

  1. Capable of MIG welding in all three positions
  2. Welding and fabrication of steel and components to less than one-half inch tolerance
  3. Utilize 10-ton overhead crane
  4. Capable of achieving plumb, level and square across 10-foot weldments
  5. Oversee and instruct small Team of fabricators and helpers
  6. Grinding and finishing completed products
  7. Perform quality checks on finished components
  8. Installing finished assemblies into machine structures
  9. Disassembling components for painting and shipment purposes
