Job summary

MAAC Machinery in Illinois is seeking an experienced fabricator/welder with potential to grow into a leadership role. You will build machine frames and components from structural steel, then tear down machines for transport.

Expect MIG welding and fabrication across light to heavy gauge metals, including ovens, guards, vacuum tanks, doors, and brackets. You will grind, finish, perform quality checks, and install finished components into structures.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years fabrication experience with various metals.
MIG welding experience required.
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
Experience with saws, shears, drill presses, forklifts and cranes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Fabricate machine frames and components from structural steel.
MIG welding and fabrication for light gauge to heavy gauge metal.
Fabricate ovens, guarding, tanks, doors, brackets; grind and finish parts.
Perform quality checks and install components into machine structures.
Disassemble machines for painting and shipping; material handling with forklifts and cranes.
