Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Kansas City seeks an experienced welder to fabricate and weld steel components for quarry construction machinery. You will read detailed drawings, collaborate with the plant manager and drafter, and perform finishing operations.

This role requires 5+ years of related experience, ability to pass drug tests and a weld test per AWS D1.1, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work is in a busy shop with strict production deadlines and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow detailed drawings/blueprints.
• Experience with steel fabrication and various welding techniques.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
• Must pass weld test equivalent to AWS D1.1.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and follow drawings and blueprint specs.
• Collaborate with plant manager, shop supervisor, customer, drafter and peers to produce finished products.
• Weld using modern techniques and equipment; apply wire/filler materials.
• Use manual and power tools for finish grinding; complete work accurately and timely.
