A staffing agency is seeking a skilled welder for a long-term, temporary position in Fort Wayne, IN. Responsibilities include operating welding equipment, accurately accounting for parts, and ensuring safety standards. • Aluminum GMAW & GTAW experience preferred.
• Pass client specified pre-screening, including drug screen and background check.

• Report supply needs to supervisor.

Job Description

• Accurately account for all parts prior to set-up; load & unload jigs
• Operate welding equipment according to blueprints
• Perform all aspects of the job in a safe and quality conscious manner
• Report supply needs, fill out appropriate paperwork, etc., to supervisor

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience & proficiency GMAW/GTAW Welding, required
• Aluminum GMAW & GTAW experience, preferred
• High School Diploma/GED, required
• Read blueprints, required
• Personal welding helmet, required
• Ability to lift 30-50lbs repetitively
• Pass client specified pre-screening, including but not limited to: drug screen, skills assessment test, background check, interview, and weld test

Additional Information

• 1st shift 6a-2p, M-F overtime 2 Saturdays/month as needed
• $12/hour starting wage
