As aLevel 3 Fabrication Technician, you are a master of your craft—an expert in metalworking, machining, and assembly. You take fullOwnershipof your work, delivering high-quality results with discipline, precision, and safety in mind. This role requires deep technical capability, strong leadership instincts, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You’ll work across various production areas, including:

• Metal fabrication shop
• Trailer and van assembly lines
• Specialty vehicle build stations
• Safety product lines
• In-house tent and textile fabrication

Expect regular exposure to welding, grinding, noise, and other industrial conditions requiring consistent use ofpersonal protective equipment (PPE). The position involves standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs, with frequent, repetitive use of hands and arms.

Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Machining Expertise

• Lead and execute high-precision metalworking projects across multiple production lines.
• Interpret and act on complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Program and operate CNC machinery, includingAmada TurretandMastercam-driven equipment.
• Innovate and develop new fabrication methods and custom tooling solutions.

Leadership & Process Optimization

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Production) to streamline workflows and resolve challenges.
• Mentor and train junior technicians; serve as a technical expert and role model.
• Identify and implementLean manufacturingorSix Sigmastrategies for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.

Quality & Safety Standards

• Uphold and exceed ISO standards, safety protocols, and internal quality benchmarks.
• Perform detailed inspections to verify dimensional and functional accuracy.
• Participate in root cause analyses and corrective actions related to fabrication defects.

Technical Innovation

• Recommend and evaluate capital investments in fabrication equipment and technologies.
• Document best practices and contribute to a growing knowledge base of fabrication excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:7+ years in hands-on fabrication roles, including leadership or mentoring.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Mastery of metalworking and machining processes.
• Required:Mastercam programming, CNC operation, and Amada Turret experience.
• Computer Skills:CAD/CAM software familiarity .
• Education:High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in metal fabrication required.
• Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; stand/bend for long periods; work in a high-noise, industrial environment with appropriate PPE.

Work Schedule & Compensation

• Schedule:Monday–Thursday, 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Friday half-day (exact hours TBD)
• Overtime:Required during peak production periods
• Compensation:Starting at$30.00/hour, with potential for higher rates based on experience and capability
