Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a skilled assembler for a 2nd shift role. The candidate will pre-fabricate piping and hoses, read drawings and BOMs, and kit materials for welding. Proficiency with hand tools and measuring devices is essential, with waterjet experience considered a plus.

The job requires lifting up to 50 pounds, adherence to safety standards, and active participation in operational excellence and quality processes. Training on day shift is provided before the 2nd shift start.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Ability to work from verbal/written instructions and routing sheets.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to handle measuring devices.
• Experience with cutting equipment is a plus; welding support is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-fabrication tasks including cutting, drilling, coping, and rolling for piping/tubing.
• Kit materials and inventory for welding; ensure availability of parts.
• Read and interpret drawings/BOMs to ensure correct material and dimensions.
• Operate hand tools and machinery; ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain 5S, participate in quality processes, and document test results.
