Job summary

SunSource is seeking an energetic Fabricator to actively assist in all shop areas, including gasket, hose, mechanical seal, cylinder repair and conveyor belting. You will measure, cut, and fabricate gaskets and hoses while supporting lean initiatives and safety programs in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires basic math and tape measure use, with opportunities to grow through continuous improvement projects and versatility across shop departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year industrial shop experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in inventory counts and maintain stock.
• Support lean activities and safety regulations.
• Suggest improvements and contribute to lean, quality, and safety projects.
• Operate gasket presses, circle cutter, Allpax cutter, and shears to cut gaskets.
• Assist hose area with hose banding, crimping, rolling, cutting, and testing hoses.
• Aid in mechanical seal processing: disassembly, cleaning, bead blasting, packing and shipping.
• Assist shipping to pack, receive items and build crates.
• Operate forklift upon certification.
• Use tape measure regularly.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
