Job summary

Mercury Plastics in Ohio is seeking a Fabrication Operator to fabricate and assemble parts from extruded product to customer specifications using fixtures, hand tools, and power tools. The role runs on 2nd shift, 12:45pm-8:45pm, Monday-Friday, with starting pay of $17.00/hour.

Qualifications

• Hand-eye coordination is required.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Troubleshooting skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate heating, forming, splicing, and punching machines.
• Perform general assembly as needed.
• Make limited adjustments to equipment, as authorized.
• Form plastic tubing using heat panels and ovens.
• Cut plastic tubing to size using automated cutters per quality specifications.
• Inspect product with gauges/fixtures for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Prepare product for shipping, including packing and labeling.
• Maintain accurate production reporting.
• Keep equipment and work area clean.
