You will fabricate steel fixtures, read blueprints, weld with MIG, and machine components. Expect use of hand and power tools, lift equipment, and routine dimensional checks to ensure precision and reliability.

Qualifikationen

• MIG welding experience; SMAW welding is a plus.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools (bandsaws, grinders, drills).
• Basic computer operation and ability to learn new software.
• Ability to operate lift equipment.
• Self-starting and responsible with a can-do attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and error identification.
• Commitment to quality and safety.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand 8 hours.

Job Summary

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• General fabrication of steel fixtures and structurally reinforcing vehicle bodies
• Work with engineers and customers to design and fabricate custom test setups and fixtures to use in automotive and aerospace test environments
• Machine and cut components, then weld and fixture assemblies
• Read blue‑prints and designs to construct the fixtures
• Build “one‑off” assemblies from scratch
• Document and verify dimensional checks of the fixtures using CMM or other measurement tools to ensure precision and accuracy
• Assist with equipment installation and overall facility maintenance

Requirements & Skills

• Experience in MIG welding (Experience with SMAW welding is nice to have)
• Experience using hand tools and power tools such as bandsaws, grinders, drills
• Experience with general computer operation and ability to learn new software
• Ability to learn and operate lift equipment
• Ability to self‑start and take on responsibility
• Keen attention to detail, coupled with a strong ability to identify errors
• Quality and safety mindset
• Authorized to work in the United States
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours
