Description

Machine and Saw Operators are responsible for operating finishing machines and executing finish fabrication for projects, including assembly, specialty builds, and saw and cutting operations, to produce high‑quality output that meets client specifications. The role requires accurate cutting of materials, adherence to quality standards, and maintenance of equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust, and operate equipment to cut materials, including metal, to specifications.
  • Organize and package completed pieces per order.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and measurement tools.
  • Inspect materials for defects to ensure precise cuts and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with management and other operators to meet deadlines.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and process work orders and instructions.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Experience with hand tools.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure.
  • Self‑motivated, reliable, quality‑ and safety‑oriented.
  • Ability to handle workload in a fast‑paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
  • Attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
Physical Requirements
  • Use proper body mechanics for pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending.
  • Push/pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Require fine motor hand and arm movements, manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Require near visual acuity.
  • Operate departmental equipment and navigate the facility.
  • Maintain professional conduct under stressful circumstances.
Work Environmental Factors

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, hazardous materials, and moving mechanical parts in the production environment.
