Job summary

Trystar in Faribault, MN is seeking an Assistant Supervisor - Fabrication for the Weekend shift. You will lead the fabrication team, coordinate daily activities, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production, and drive continuous improvement using lean principles.

Under the Production Supervisor, you will monitor performance, manage training, and support scheduling, inventory control, and equipment maintenance to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in fast-paced, continuous improvement settings.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fabrication team, guiding and directing members to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily activities to ensure smooth workflow, accurate inventory, and timely delivery.
• Monitor cable/fabrication processes to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production data in the ERP system and document issues for continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching and development to team members and lead problem-solving efforts.
• Oversee preventive maintenance scheduling for machinery and coordinate with maintenance.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings with PPE requirements.
• Drive process improvements by standardizing work and eliminating waste.
