Job summary

TAIT is seeking a hands-on Production Helper in La Mirada, CA to support finishing, assembly, painting and workspace upkeep for live event builds.

You will work across carpentry and metal finishing, operate basic tools, lift up to 70 lbs, and help maintain high safety and quality standards. Flexible evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Able to operate hand and power tools and measuring instruments.
• Ability to safely stand or sit for 95% of working shift.
• Capable of lifting and shifting up to 70lbs.
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
• Effectively follow verbal and written instructions.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to work in multiple areas of concentration ranging from carpentry to hand grinding and polishing
• Assist with finishing materials such as cleaning and grinding metal materials
• Assist with assembling and building components used for various sets
• Safely handle miscellaneous materials
• Play a support role on a team dedicated to maintain high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping and productivity
• Assist in cleaning equipment and work areas
• Prep and paint equipment as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Position Purpose

Support production and set-building operations by assisting with material finishing, component assembly, equipment preparation, painting, and workspace maintenance while upholding safety, quality, housekeeping, and productivity standards.
