Job summary

TLC Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical is seeking a Fabrication Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in the Albuquerque fabrication shop. You will supervise staff, plan production, ensure quality and safety, and collaborate with engineering and project teams to meet delivery targets.

The role emphasizes leadership, process optimization, and documentation, with a focus on maintaining equipment and improving shop performance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in fabrication/manufacturing, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, equipment and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate teams and manage conflict.
• Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in shop management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and support fabrication shop personnel.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate fabrication activities for efficient workflow and on-time completion.
• Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Manage inventory of materials, tools and supplies; coordinate with procurement.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and schedule repairs or upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and other teams to meet project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain production documentation (reports, logs, records).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize shop performance.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections and training for shop staff.
