Job summary

TV Guide On Screen is seeking a Shop Supervisor to oversee the fabrication shop’s daily operations, ensuring safe, efficient work that meets schedules, quality standards, and company expectations. You will supervise fabrication personnel, coordinate workflow, monitor productivity, and support delivery requirements across departments.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong knowledge of fabrication processes, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, specifications, and production schedules.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of welders, fitters, machine operators, and other personnel.
• Assign work, establish priorities, and monitor progress to support production schedules.
• Ensure work aligns with shop drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and standards.
• Communicate goals, schedule changes, and priorities to shop personnel.
• Monitor labor utilization, productivity, and workflow to maximize efficiency.
• Identify and resolve fabrication, production, equipment, and workflow issues.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, purchasing, and operations to support production needs.
• Verify materials, equipment, consumables, and tools are available for scheduled work.
• Review fabrication activities for adherence to quality requirements and specs.
• Track production progress, labor hours, schedule performance, and other metrics.
• Support inventory control, material management, and housekeeping initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment.
• Provide routine updates to management regarding production status and resource needs.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
