DFI Steel Piling in Conroe, TX is seeking a Fabrication Shop Foreman to oversee pile fabrication and guide shop personnel. This onsite role emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting production goals at our Conroe facility.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fabrication, experience supervising 2+ people, and familiarity with welding codes. AWS Inspector credentials are preferred, with strong blueprint reading and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fabrication experience.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector preferred.
• Proficient with computers including MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee pile fabrication to meet production goals, project timelines, and quality requirements.
• Supervise, train, and mentor shop welders and personnel, ensuring qualifications and certifications stay current.
• Coordinate materials, transportation, inventory, equipment, supplies, and purchasing activities.
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, quality, and traceability records, including weld logs, MTRs, ITPs, and pipe tallies.
• Ensure fabrication complies with welding procedures, project specs, company standards, OSHA requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Perform and document weld inspections and quality checks throughout fabrication and in the field as required.
• Promote and enforce safety and quality programs; participate in inspections and incident investigations.
• Troubleshoot production, quality, equipment, and material issues and support fabrication activities as required.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and safety-focused work environment while prioritizing multiple tasks.

They will oversee and participate in the fabrication of piling material that is built in our Conroe Texas facility, as well as provide guidance to shop personnel, ensuring a high standard of safety and quality that DFI is known for.Schedule: Onsite at the DFI facility in Conroe, Monday through Friday. Some overtime and weekend work could be required based on workload or project scheduling.
