They will oversee and participate in the fabrication of piling material that is built in our Conroe Texas facility, as well as provide guidance to shop personnel, ensuring a high standard of safety and quality that DFI is known for.Schedule: Onsite at the DFI facility in Conroe, Monday through Friday. Some overtime and weekend work could be required based on workload or project scheduling. Position is primarily office/shop setting with occasional field work required.Benefits:• Comprehensive Health and Dental plan• 401K Matching• Employee Referral Program• Professional Development Allowance• Career advancement opportunities#dficareersJob DutiesPlan, schedule, and oversee pile fabrication to meet production goals, project timelines, and quality requirements.Supervise, train, and mentor shop welders and personnel, ensuring qualifications and certifications remain current.Coordinate materials, transportation, inventory, equipment, supplies, and purchasing activities.Maintain accurate production, inventory, quality, and traceability records, including weld logs, MTRs, ITPs, and pipe tallies.Ensure fabrication complies with welding procedures, project specifications, company standards, OSHA requirements, and applicable regulations.Perform and document weld inspections and quality checks throughout fabrication and in the field as required.Promote and enforce company safety and quality programs and participate in inspections, safety meetings, and incident investigations.Troubleshoot production, quality, equipment, and material issues and support fabrication activities as required.Maintain a professional, positive, and safety-focused work environment while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsPrevious experience with fabrication (5+ years).AWS Certified Welding Inspector is preferred.Proficient with computers including all Microsoft Office products.Experience in a supervisory role, leading a team of 2 or more people in a fabrication setting.Proficient in reading blueprints and welding procedure specifications, and the ability to transfer printed design data into real life fabrication practices.Experience with ASTM A252 material is an asset.Registered Journeyman/Apprentice Welder certification is preferred.Familiarity with AWS D1.1, A5.20 and A5.29 structural welding code is an asset.Experience with a quality management system is an asset.Ability to perform physical work safely in a variety of industrial environments.
