Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 years of fabrication and welding experience.
• CWI Inspector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a crew of fabricators and welders in daily task performance and quality of work.
• Oversee safe and efficient performance of all employees.
• Operate a safe, organized shop environment meeting OSHA requirements.
• Study blueprints or instructions to determine project requirements.
• Obtain necessary equipment, materials, and tools.
• Observe gauges and indicators to ensure quality standards.
• Fabricate, weld, and rig using machinery and tools.
• Meet daily production expectations.
• Participate in safety and skill training.
• Collaborate with management to resolve problems and needs.
• Ensure projects are completed on time with customer satisfaction and no safety/quality issues.
• Ensure all parts are loaded on trailers.
• Create Bill of Lading for material leaving shop.
• Diagnose equipment or call a technician when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager.
