Job summary

RiverStone Group, Inc. operates a Fabrication Shop in Rock Island, IL and seeks a hands-on Fabrication Shop Cutting Operator to prepare rebar and various steel parts from blueprints to finished components.

You will read basic blueprints, measure and lay out parts, and cut to size while maintaining a clean, safe work area. Training is provided for the right candidate, with weekends occasionally required and a standard 1st shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to read basic blue prints to measure and lay out parts before cutting to size.
• Must be able to determine sizes and lengths of metal needed for projects.
• Maintain a neat, orderly work area and adhere to safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutting tools to cut, bend, and fabricate dimensional steel.
• Process job tickets in an organized, accurate manner.
• Load and unload bulk metal and move metal safely between areas.
• Communicate safety and maintenance concerns to shop management.
