Job summary

Patriot Erectors is seeking a Shop Operations team member to assist with lifting, positioning, and preparing parts for welding and crane movement. You will work in a non-climate-controlled production environment, using hand tools and following safety procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with some training, basic math skills, and the ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals. Independent work and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and/or 3 months of training or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to draw and interpret charts and graphs.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions precisely.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lifts, positions, and removes work pieces, assists in fitting and welding.
• Attaches chain and handling equipment to material for crane movement.
• Cleans buckshot, burrs and surface imperfections prior to load out.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Familiar with grinders, scrapers, hammers and other handheld tools.
