Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a shop support person in Sumter, SC to assist in a metal fabrication environment. You will help prepare the shop, unload/load materials, and support fabricators while following safety and quality standards.

The role requires physical work, ability to lift 50 pounds, and clear communication with supervisors. Full-time hours with potential weekend work and a benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor.
• Must use basic math and read a tape measure.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation of the custom metal fabrication shop.
• Prepare shop for upcoming projects and assist with fabrication tasks.
• Unload and load material and keep work areas clean.
• Follow safety and project rules while maintaining quality.
