Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, manufacturing coordination, or related operational role.
• Experience with purchasing, vendor communication, raw material planning, or procurement support preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP system.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, and ERP-based data entry.
• Ability to read and interpret sales orders, part numbers, due dates, and production priorities.
• Strong attention to detail in entering and verifying item numbers, quantities, and vendor data.
• Strong communication with vendors, production teams, and sales/purchasing staff.
• Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and discrepancy resolution.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple orders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review sales order shipment needs and determine required fabricated components, quantities, and due dates.
• Create internal FAB production orders in Dynamics AX based on demand and priorities.
• Plan and maintain the FAB shop production schedule to support shipments and internal needs.
• Coordinate with sales, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and production teams on material availability and capacity.
• Purchase required raw materials from outside vendors to support FAB schedules and inventory needs.
• Coordinate with vendors on pricing, lead times, orders, delivery status, and shortages.
• Monitor open FAB production orders to ensure release, start, completion, and close timelines.
• Update production order dates, quantities, statuses, and planning information as priorities change.
• Communicate schedule changes, shortages, delays, and risks that may impact shipments.
