Job summary

Hose Master, a family-owned manufacturer in the Reno area, seeks a Prepper to measure, cut, and crimp hose to exact customer specs. You will trim braid, inspect for damage, and assist with hose handling and quality checks while cross-training across departments as needed.

Good math, tape-measure reading, and teamwork are essential. Responsibilities include following job orders, verifying lengths, and supporting material handling, inspection, and shop tasks to maintain production flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and convert measurement to decimals.
• Good basic math skills.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects braid for damage and ensures braid integrity.
• Measures, cuts and crimps hose length to customer specifications.
• Crimps & stamps/etches ferrules and fits crimp collars on hoses.
• Verifies cut-length calculations and trims braid as needed.
• Reads Travelers / Job Orders and follows tolerance charts; supports area tasks.

They will also trim and inspect braid for damage. They will perform tasks in support of assigned area including but not limited to: helping inspection pull hoses, helping material handlers with hand braiding.
