Job summary

STEICO Industries, Inc., a company of Senior Plc, is seeking a Fabrication Planner to develop manufacturing instructions and shop travelers aligned with STEICO quality processes. You will review customer requirements and generate data packages to accompany travelers.

You will also prepare BOMs, validate tooling and processes, and schedule manufacturing based on customer PO and forecasts, while maintaining documentation in the data retention system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years manufacturing industry experience.
• Blueprint/drawing interpretation and 3D modeling experience.
• Fabrication and assembly experience.
• Basic math and geometry understanding.
• MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to assess facts and develop conclusions.
• Effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings/specs/Quality Manual and PO clauses to create work instructions.
• Plot X,Y,Z coordinates from CAD models and label locations.
• Create Bills of Materials from customer lists and drawings.
• Validate tooling, machinery and process capabilities.
• Schedule part manufacturing based on PO/forecast.
• Control documents in data retention system.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Description

AM Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM

As a Fabrication Planner you will:

Create manufacturing instructions/shop travelers compliant to STEICO Industries Inc. quality processes and procedures. Review customer Quality, Engineering and Specification requirements to include in the manufacturing instructions. Generating data packages to accompany the shop travelers. Generate aides to assist manufacturing departments.

What will my responsibilities include?

• Interpret customer drawings/ specifications/ Quality Manual/ PO clauses and Terms and Conditions while creating manufacturing work instructions/ shop travelers to ensure we are meeting requirements
• Plot X,Y,Z intersection points, label locations and masking locations from CAD models
• Creates Bill of Materials using customer provided parts lists, drawings and models
• Validating tooling, machinery and process capabilities
• Verifying and Scheduling part manufacturing based off Customer purchase order/forecast
• Perform document control of Engineering drawing packets, customer specifications and industry specifications in data retention system
• Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate

Qualifications

What key skills and experience do I need?

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ manufacturing industry experience
• Blueprint/drawing interpretation, 3D modeling experience, fabrication and assembly experience
• Requires basic math skills. A strong understanding of Geometry is preferred
• Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheets - formulas, graphs and charts
• Requires ability to assess facts and develop conclusions
• Must be able communicate and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, both verbally and written

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
