Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings, a Westlake division, is seeking an production worker responsible for manufacturing couplings for pipe. You will adhere to safety policies, inspect parts for dimensions, and assist with material procurement.

You may operate lathes, perform hydro testing, and complete required paperwork. The role requires basic reading, math, and computer skills, with the ability to work with lathe operators and shift leaders.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Basic math using measurements and money units.
• General problem-solving and ability to follow written or diagrammed instructions.
• Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.
• Check parts for dimensions.
• Assist with procuring materials needed for production; use measuring tools as required.
• Operate equipment to cut and machine couplings on lathes, drill holes, install set screws, hydro test, and package.
• Complete production and quality paperwork.
• Answer employee technical questions as needed.
• Direct employees to Fabrication Manager or HR/Safety Manager for other questions.
• Notify Shift supervisor immediately in case of accident or injury.
• Contact Maintenance for equipment repairs as necessary.
• Willingness to take on additional assignments from management.
