Job summary

OBE is seeking an Assembler/Fabrication Operator to join our fabrication team. You will fabricate aluminum doors, storefront and curtain wall by following fabrication packets and drawings, cutting, drilling, punching holes, and installing hardware. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Fabrication Lead.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime if needed.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Stand and walk on concrete floor for eight hours or more.
• Wear company issued safety shirt, hard hat, steel toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate aluminum doors, storefront, & curtain wall by utilizing fabrication packets.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and schematics.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Safely perform quality tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate appropriately, complete paperwork, interpret basic mathematical measurements, and use a tape measure.
• Notify lead or supervisor of any mechanical material issues.
