Responsibilities

• Operate tubing fabrication equipment in a job shop environment.
• Record accurate production orders and keep work area clean.
• Report quality issues to Supervisor and participate in corrective actions.
• Provide cross-training and assist teammates as needed.
• Attend safety meetings and follow all safety policies.
• Communicate clearly with team and supervisors.
• Identify and report equipment problems for timely repair.

Job description

The Fabrication Operator uses tube fabrication equipment such as saws, swagers, bending machines, and drills to process material in a way that meets customer specifications. Precise attention to detail and strict adherence to safety and quality standards are an absolute must in this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of fabrication equipment in a job shop atmosphere
• Record accurate information for all production orders
• Keep work area clean throughout the day
• Report any quality-related problems to the Supervisor for resolution
• Provide cross training to others and be cross trained elsewhere as needed
• Attend all scheduled company & safety meetings
• Follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices at all times
• Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation with other employees and supervisors
• Report any equipment problems to the Supervisor for immediate repair or schedule for repair

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Ability to work in a warehouse facility within OSHA guidelines; conditions may be heated/unheated and periodically noisy
• Fast-paced, moderately stressful, constantly changing day to day work environment
• Ability to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to eight hours per shift
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed
• Required to wear proper PPE at all times in warehouse
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• High School Diploma or GED
