Koch Finishing Systems in Caledonia, MI seeks an Operations Manager to lead our job shop, owning project scheduling, budget, and day-to-day execution from kickoff through delivery.

This hands-on leader will manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize safety, and drive continuous improvement while building a growing team. A strong background in fabrication and budgeting is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8-10 years of progressive fabrication or manufacturing operations experience.
• Proven experience leading supervisors and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own project scheduling and execution across active fabrication projects, balancing commitments, capacity, and cost.
• Lead, coach, and manage performance of the manufacturing team including managers and planners.
• Review engineering drawings and order steel and raw materials to stay on schedule.
• Develop and manage budgets for labor and materials, including forecasting and cost control.
• Champion safety culture and OSHA compliance.
• Partner with Engineering to resolve fabrication issues and constructability questions.
• Drive continuous improvement in shop processes, tooling, layout, and equipment utilization.
• Inform General Manager and stakeholders on schedules, status, risks, and issues.
• Manage manufacturing capacity and planning activities.
• Lead weekly shipping schedule meetings and communicate delays to project managers.
• Maintain welding compliance with AWS codes.
• Champion ERP accuracy in all transactions.
• Manage inventory levels and cycles, driving Lean initiatives.
