Job summary

EK in Fall River, WI is seeking a Fabrication Floater to provide coverage across laser cutting, punch presses, brake presses, panel benders, and related fabrication equipment. This role keeps production flowing during absences while maintaining safety and quality.

You will read blueprints, set up equipment, select tooling, perform basic troubleshooting, load/unload materials, document inspections, and help with cross-training and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• One-year technical certificate preferred or equivalent.
• 3–5 years fabrication/manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Experience with multiple fabrication processes and CNC equipment preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Set up, adjust, and operate laser cutting machines, punch presses, brake presses, panel benders/folding machines, and other fabrication equipment as assigned.
• Provide production coverage during employee absences, vacations, cross-training activities, and staffing shortages.
• Assist with prototype jobs, new part introductions, and production runs.
• Select appropriate tooling and materials required for assigned operations.
• Perform machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
• Load and unload materials, parts, and finished products.
• Move materials and work-in-process throughout the fabrication department using approved material handling equipment.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment and document inspection results.
