Jones Valley Fabrication is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fabrication equipment and systems in our Alabama shop. The role emphasizes 3-phase power and overhead cranes, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will read schematics and manuals, perform preventative maintenance, and document activities. A high school diploma or GED plus 2+ years with cranes and 3-phase power are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
  • 2+ years working with overhead cranes and 3-phase power systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting 3-phase electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Welding and fabrication experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fabrication equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including 3-phase power, motors, control panels, and wiring.
  • Inspect and repair overhead cranes and hoists for safe operation.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and implement fixes.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade equipment as needed.
  • Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals; maintain work orders and records.
