Job summary

Leggett & Platt Flooring Products in Salisbury, NC seeks a Fabrication Maintenance technician to support our carpet underlay production line. You will assist in maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, perform fabrication tasks, and help keep equipment running efficiently.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic math skills, and experience with hand and power tools, with Saturday availability.

• Experience in fabrication maintenance, building maintenance, preventative maintenance and/or basic fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, modifies, designs, lays out, or fabricates (with or without blueprints).
• Cuts, fits, and welds metal using gas and electric welding equipment; brazing and soldering; uses machines like power saws, grinders, drills.
• Interpret prints, drawings, plans, or job write-ups and apply fabrication or welding techniques.
• Assist mechanics in production repairs/installation, and removal of equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor.

We, at LPFP - Salisbury, a Leggett & Platt company, are searching for aFabrication Maintenancewithin our Maintenance team. We have been manufacturing carpet underlay for over 22 years and are considered a full-scale recycler. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As aFabrication Maintenanceyou will have the opportunity to assist the maintenance department and/or the maintenance mechanics by creating, maintain, and repair the electrical and electronic components and equipment used in any equipment or device. Assist in mechanical task along with electrical. You may also perform other tasks as assigned.

Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring that the machinery and facility runs efficiently. The team you will be working with collaborates to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner.

So, what will you be doing as a Fabrication Maintenance?

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
