Job summary

Ipsen International Inc is seeking dedicated production personnel for the 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM) to lay out work, set up equipment, and manufacture parts to meet design specifications. You will train on various machines and help maintain quality while meeting deadlines.

This full-time role offers day-one benefits, a 401(k) match, PTO, and a retention bonus program totaling up to $3,000 for eligible employees hired before 12/31/2026, with 10% shift differential included.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Degree or GED equivalent.
  • Solid work history or school/academic record.
  • Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions including but not limited to basic correspondence and blueprints.
  • Learn to become certified to use Fork lift and overhead crane.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out work and set up machines to meet design specs and schedules.
  • Produce parts meeting quality standards as directed by supervision/QA.
  • Train to operate shear, riveter, drill press, punches, mills, lathes, and related tools.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Cross-train on multiple machines to build manufacturing knowledge.

Overview

Works closely with direct supervision to coordinate all activities required to effectively lay out work, set-up appropriate machines or equipment to meet or exceed fabrication and customer requirements per design specifications and published schedules. Efficiently utilizes resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor.

Responsibilities

Includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Consistently meet and exceed deadlines for assigned tasks
  • Efficiently produce parts that meet and exceed quality standards as determined by the Production Supervisor and/or Quality Inspector
  • Train to perform set ups and operation of the below machinery properly and safely:
    1. Shear
    2. Riveter
    3. Drill Press
    4. Strippit Punch Press
    5. Roller
    6. Disk Sander
    7. Portable Power Tools
    8. Band Saw, Table Saw, and Miter Saw
    9. Hand Brake
    10. Manual Brake Press
    11. Mill
    12. Lathe
  • Trouble-shoot machine problems and perform preventative maintenance
  • May be moved and cross trained on several pieces of equipment so as to develop a core understanding of manufacturing concepts.
Requirements:
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Must have a High School Degree or GED equivalent
  • Solid work history or school/academic record
  • Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions including but not limited to basic correspondence and blueprints
  • Learn to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, and volume
  • Learn and use basic concepts of geometry
  • Ability to apply a common sense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Learn and become certified to use Fork lift and overhead crane
