Job summary

Duke Manufacturing Company in Sedalia, Missouri is seeking a Machine Operator to join our Fabrication team. You will adjust and operate fabricating machines such as brake press, laser, press and turret presses, performing cutting, shaping and bending to shop drawings. This role requires attention to safety and keeping work areas clean.

Shift is A Shift from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour with an additional $1.50 premium for off shifts.

Qualifications

• Operates fabricating machinery such as brake press, laser, press and turret presses.
• Performs cutting, shaping and bending within tolerances.
• Builds standard and custom equipment per shop drawings.
• Uses safety devices and follows safety procedures.
• Maintains clean work areas and performs basic PM tasks.
• Reports machine issues to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and operates fabricating machines on Steel/metal components.
• Cuts, shapes and bends metal to required tolerances.
• Assembles products per shop drawings and specs.
• Maintains machine safety and housekeeping.
• Performs daily preventative maintenance as directed.

Job Description

• Adjusts and operates special types of fabricating machines such as, but not limited to, brake press, laser, press and turret presses.
• Performs repetitive operations such as cutting, shaping, bending metal plates, sheets and structural shapes within fractional tolerances.
• Builds standard and special food service equipment as specified by shop drawing.
• Uses safety devices provided.
• Operates machines using proper safety procedures.
• Keeps machines and work areas clean and free of grease and oil.
• Conducts daily preventative maintenance operations as outlined on the 6S zone card.
• Notifies the lead person or supervisor of machine needing repair.

Shift Schedule

A Shift (5:30 am‑4:00 pm; Mondays to Thursdays).
