Job summary

Trinity Products in Kansas City, KS, is hiring a Fabrication Data Controller to maintain production, inventory, and shipping data within the ERP system to support fabrication operations. You will manage BOM inputs, track material movement and inventory, support cycle counts and data validation, and ensure accurate information flow between fabrication, scheduling, and receiving teams.

  • 3+ years of experience in production data control, inventory control, manufacturing administration, scheduling support, or related environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Outlook; ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile production or inventory data.
  • Experience working within an ERP system in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of bills of material, inventory transactions, material movement, and work-in-process concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across departments.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate production, material, and inventory transactions within the ERP system in a timely manner.
  • Administer BOM inputs and process revisions within the ERP system.
  • Record and maintain material movement and consumption throughout fabrication.
  • Maintain tracking of midwelds, split pipe, WIP, and inventory within the ERP system.
  • Review ERP data for completeness and accuracy; coordinate corrections with appropriate personnel.
  • Support production scheduling and operational reporting by ensuring ERP data is current and reliable.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and data validation activities.
  • Communicate data or inventory discrepancies across departments and follow through to resolution.
  • Support continuous improvement of ERP data-entry processes and inventory controls.

Salary Range: $24.00 To $30.00 Hourly

As the Fabrication Data Controller for our Kansas City warehouse you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate production, inventory, and shipping & receiving data within the ERP system to support fabrication operations. Key duties include maintaining bills of material, tracking material movement and inventory, supporting shipping and receiving activities, and preparing and maintaining shipping documentation such as bills of lading (BOLs). This role ensures timely and accurate information flow between fabrication, scheduling, inventory, and shipping & receiving. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Maintain accurate production, material, and inventory transactions within the ERP system in a timely manner.
  • Administer bill of material (BOM) inputs and process approved BOM revisions within the ERP system.
  • Record and maintain material movement and consumption throughout the fabrication process within the ERP system.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of midwelds, split pipe, work-in-process, and associated inventory within the ERP system.
  • Review ERP data for completeness and accuracy; identify errors, exceptions, or missing transactions and coordinate corrections with appropriate personnel.
  • Support production scheduling and operational reporting by ensuring ERP data is current, reliable, and available when needed.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and data validation activities as required.
  • Communicate data or inventory discrepancies to fabrication, scheduling, and other appropriate departments and follow through to resolution.
  • Support continuous improvement of ERP data-entry processes, inventory controls, and standard work.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Fabrication Scheduling Manager.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in production data control, inventory control, manufacturing administration, scheduling support, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Outlook; ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile production or inventory data.
  • Experience working within an ERP system in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of bills of material, inventory transactions, material movement, and work-in-process concepts.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across fabrication, scheduling, and other operational teams.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification preferred.
