Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Missouri is seeking an experienced Fabrication Technician II to support daily fabrication operations, read blueprints, operate fabrication equipment, and help lead production activities in a manufacturing environment.

This role requires hands-on experience with cutting, grooving, hole cutting, assembly, and inspection; forklift operation; and a safety-focused, detail-oriented mindset ready to work 6a-2:30p or 2:00-10:30p with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years in technical/manufacturing roles.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Forklift experience and certifications preferred; training provided.
• Lift up to 45 pounds; safety-focused and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication tasks: cutting, grooving, hole cutting, assembly, and inspections.
• Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently; ensure quality standards.
• Monitor schedules, material availability, and project progress to meet deadlines.
• Complete daily shop floor activities: inspections, shipment prep, material handling.
• Maintain 5S, TPM tasks, and organized, clean work area.
• Support leadership by training and assisting team members.

This role requires hands-on experience with cutting, grooving, hole cutting, assembly, and inspection, along with the ability to read blueprints, operate fabrication equipment, and manage materials efficiently.The Fabrication Technician II will work closely with production leadership to coordinate workloads, monitor project schedules, train new employees, and ensure the team meets production goals.
