Job summary

SURGE Staffing is hiring a dependable Spreader/Cutter for a textile and apparel production team. You will operate industrial spreading and cutting equipment to lay fabric in flat, even layers and cut pieces from patterns used in garment production.

The role requires accuracy, steady hands, and adherence to quality standards. Work four 10-hour shifts (Monday–Thursday) from 6:15 AM to 5:00 PM with an hourly pay of $16.00–$18.00, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in textile manufacturing or fabric cutting preferred.
• Ability to follow patterns and measurements accurately.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to learn equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate industrial fabric spreading and cutting equipment.
• Spread rolls of textile material into flat, even layers for cutting.
• Cut fabric according to patterns, measurements and production needs.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality.
• Monitor equipment and report issues or production concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow production schedules, safety procedures, and quality guidelines.
• Handle fabric carefully to minimize waste and maintain consistency.
