Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Fabric Specialist to advance Bronze-layer ingestion using Microsoft Fabric. The role focuses on reviewing diverse data sources and designing repeatable connections to land data into the Bronze layer for enterprise analytics.

Remote (Denver, Colorado) and Denver-area candidates welcome; pay range $50-55/hour based on experience. The position involves discovery, ingestion design, documentation, and knowledge transfer to teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric across OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse and governance.
• Strong understanding of medallion architecture and data organization.
• Hands-on Fabric components: Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, Eventstreams.
• Ability to design raw-data landing structures preserving metadata and history.
• Knowledge of secure connections and credential-management practices.

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Fabric Specialist (Fabric Data Source Review and Bronze Layer Ingestion) to join their team.

Job Title: Fabric Specialist (Fabric Data Source Review and Bronze Layer Ingestion)

Location: Remote (Denver, Colorado)

Pay Range: $50-55/hour, based on experience

What's the Job?

• Advance the Enterprise Analytics bronze layer by reviewing enterprise, operational, facilities, transportation, security, GIS, customer-experience, and aviation data sources.
• Prioritize approved source systems and design repeatable connections that land source data into the Bronze layer using Microsoft Fabric.
• Lead discovery, source prioritization, connection design, ingestion implementation, documentation, and knowledge transfer for in-scope Bronze ingestion.
• Support Phase 1 deliverables including validation of the source inventory, assessment of technical readiness and dependencies, and sequencing of approved data sources.
• Produce a prioritized data-ingestion roadmap with source-specific timelines, implementation waves, and resource/access requirements to support ingestion planned for 2027.

What's Needed?

• Microsoft Fabric solution architecture experience across OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, Data Factory, Power BI, and Purview-aligned governance.
• Hands-on understanding of medallion architecture, including workspace/domain organization, security boundaries, naming standards, capacity considerations, and reusable ingestion patterns.
• Proficiency with Fabric engineering components such as Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, Eventstreams, and ingestion approaches for APIs, files, databases, SFTP, batch, and streaming.
• Ability to design raw-data landing structures that preserve raw-source fidelity, retain load metadata, support historical replay, and enable future transformation work.
• Experience with secure connection patterns (service principals, managed identities, gateways, workspace identities) and credential-management practices, plus familiarity with IoT/real-time ingestion concepts including MQTT and BACnet/BACnet IP.
