Job summary

Select Event Group is a respected event rental company with operations in Laurel, MD. The Fabric Processing Associate position is part of a team responsible for cleaning and inspecting all fabric materials for our tents, structures and flooring division under supervision.

Responsibilities include following safety practices, sorting fabric by material and grade, laundering tent fabrics, operating washers and conveyors, performing quality checks, labeling cleaned fabric, assisting folding and

Qualifications

• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude.
• Effective reading, writing and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety best practices.
• Examine and sort fabric according to material, grade, and required cleaning technique.
• Assist in the laundering process for tent tops, sidewalls, barrel covers, etc.
• Operate commercial washers, and fabric washing/drying conveyor system.
• Conduct product quality control inspections.
• Tag and bag cleaned/dried fabric.
• Assist with folding process of cleaned/dried fabric.
• Lift cleaned/dried fabric onto storage rack system.
• Assist in pulling/preparing fabric items orders for delivery.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
