Job summary

arrivia is seeking an experienced Fabric Data Engineer to own complex data pipeline architectures within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. Design and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions, set technical standards, and mentor junior engineers.

You will migrate on-premise relational databases into a modern cloud environment and decommission legacy warehouses. You will partner with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, well-governed data platforms, leveraging AI-enabled

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Strong SQL across T-SQL and Spark SQL, and strong Python with PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse/Databricks).
• Experience with real-time and streaming data architectures and event-driven patterns.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, PySpark and Spark SQL notebooks.
• Design Lakehouse and Warehouse patterns (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and enforce best practices.
• Migrate on-premise relational data to cloud platforms (OneLake) and retire legacy data-warehouses.
• Build real-time ingestion pipelines using Fabric Eventstream and connected sources.
• Write optimized SQL, PySpark, and ensure reliable incremental loads and SLA monitoring.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead architectural reviews and continuous improvement.
