Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in Booneville, MS is hiring a Cutting Operator (Weekday) to work onsite in the cutting department.

You will cut fabric, pull and spread material, and prepare pieces for the next stages while adhering to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. The role requires at least 1 year of cutting experience in upholstered furniture manufacturing, solid math and English reading/writing skills, and the ability to read production tickets.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cutting experience in an upper-end upholstered furniture manufacturing environment.
• This is an onsite and in office role.
• Good math and reading skills with good communication skills-oral and written and the ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to read and understand production tickets and interpret simple instructions commonly placed in a standard operating procedure.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a part of a team with other associates and managers with a strong sense of urgency and time management to meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutting machines and pull and spread fabric per specifications and established procedures.
• Cut fabric and ensure all pieces are produced accurately and safely.
• Bundle and tag cut pieces for subsequent processing and inventory tracking.
• Maintain safety, quality, service, and cost objectives within the cutting department.
• Support sewing and downstream departments to prevent production gaps and ensure on-time delivery.
