Job summary

Living Spaces Furniture is seeking an Upholstery Cutter in La Mirada, CA. You will hand cut upholstery pieces, prepare fabrics for clean cuts, and ensure efficient material flow through production. You’ll handle spreading fabric, checking for defects, and cutting with patterns or stencils to exact sizes.

Attention to fabric grain, boarders, and safe practice is essential. You will work with leather products and high-quality materials, mastering tool use and pattern accuracy while meeting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of fabric cutting or related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience using cutting wheel and utility knife required.
• Knowledge of fabric codes (single boarders, one ways, grain lines) helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fabric by spreading in flat layers and removing defects.
• Measure and cut fabric or leather pieces to precise sizes.
• Use cutting tools to fit fabric to furniture frames.
• Independently arrange, mark and cut fabric patterns.
• Maintain safe, clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with manager to improve productivity.
