Job summary

Nuuly is seeking a Spotting Clerk to identify stains on fabrics, select the right spotting procedures, and apply chemical solutions to remove stains. You will thrive in a team setting with strong organizational and communication skills, and you will handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

The role requires collaboration across all levels and offers opportunities to train associates and contribute to overall team success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school degree or GED required.
• Knowledge of textiles.
• Skillful at removing stains and maintaining the integrity of the fabric.
• Must have color vision.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required.
• Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect spot stains to determine their composition and select appropriate solvents.
• Apply chemicals to neutralize the effects of solvents.
• Sprays steam, water, or air over a spot to flush out chemicals, dry material, raise nap, or brighten color.
• Clean fabric using a vacuum or air hose.
• Spread the garment on a worktable and position the stain over the vacuum head or on a marble slab.
• Apply bleaching powder to spot and spray with steam to remove stains from certain fabrics that do not respond to other cleaning solvents.
• Provide training to associates as needed.
• Willingly takes on additional responsibilities to contribute to team success.
