Job summary

Eaton is hiring a FAB Material Handler - Copper Kitter for the WKND Shift at the Arden, NC site. The role involves sorting, distributing, supplying, and packaging materials within the fabrication environment.

You will own storage racks, move materials through the facility including staging and delivering parts, and maintain FIFO labeling. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and forklift certification or the ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Own the storage racks with daily reviews (Racks, 5S+, Rack Labels).
• Move material through fabrication, staging brakes, deliver bent parts to paint and finished components to racks.
• Keep pallet bins full and ensure FIFO labeling for pallets from SWCs.
• Weigh and record scrap bin weights in a spreadsheet.
• Maintain safe work habits and work with minimal supervision.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB Material Handler - Copper Kitter - WKND Shift. This position is based at our Arden, NC location.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do

The primary function of this position is to sort, distribute, supply and package materials.

In This Function You Will

• Have ownership of storage racks including daily review of Racks, 5S+, Rack Labels, etc
• Move material throughout the Fabrication as needed including keeping brakes staged with unbent parts, delivering bent parts to the paint line, and delivering completed fabricated components as required to rack locations.
• Keep pallet bins full of pallets.
• Maintaining the FIFO labeling for pallets coming from the SWCs
• Weigh and empty scrap bins and record weight in spreadsheet.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification

• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, Excel, etc.
• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
