Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to monitor and improve semiconductor tooling in a brand-new manufacturing environment in Manassas, VA. You will collaborate with shift operations, area equipment engineers, and vendors to ensure optimal tool performance and maintenance.

The role emphasizes dependability, safety, and driving improvements while supporting 12-hour shifts and potential overtime as operations require.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of preventative maintenance experience on industrial machinery.
• 2 years of experience repairing manufacturing equipment using mechanical/electronic/PC skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to address preventative maintenance needs for manufacturing equipment.
• Identify performance gaps and implement improvements, documenting deviations.
• Maintain cleanroom area and ensure items are properly stored and organized.
• Participate in teams focused on equipment availability and improvement initiatives.
• Attend Micron or vendor training to understand semiconductor tools.
• Stand for long periods, lift 25-40 lbs, and navigate tight spaces safely.
• Wear PPE as required to protect product quality and maintain a safe environment.
• Lead projects related to equipment maintenance, meeting scope, schedule, and budget.
