Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Technical Writer to support the FAA at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. The role focuses on creating, revising, and updating technical documents, ensuring plain language and 508 compliance.

You'll collaborate with teams to produce deliverables on schedule, facilitate document reviews, and contribute to SOP development using standard QMS processes. Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s with less than 2 years.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Teams.
• Ability to map business processes, prepare documentation, and perform analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation, revision, and updating of technical documents.
• Provide technical writing input for documentation needs and SOPs.
• Coordinate document review, comments, and final versions for division approval.
• Ensure 508 Compliance for posted documents.
• Assist in maintaining electronic backup files and deliverables by assigned dates.
• Deliver electronic files in Word or Acrobat formats.
