Job summary

Peraton is recruiting a Network Installer in Minneapolis, MN to support FAA networks and BNATCS modernization efforts. You will install and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and fiber systems, ensuring uptime, security, and performance across SD-WAN and IP layers.

You will collaborate with aviation, engineering, and cybersecurity teams on mission-critical infrastructure, traveling locally 100% to FAA facilities within the region.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance.
• 8+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree; alternative degrees with adjusted experience.
• Proven experience managing enterprise network environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP).
• Hands-on with Cisco, Juniper or similar networking tech.
• Experience with SD-WAN, fiber optics, wireless LAN/WAN.
• Familiarity with firewalls and network monitoring tools.
• Ability to read network diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime, performance, and security of FAA network infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Support SD-WAN across distributed environments.
• Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling; perform fiber testing.
• Monitor systems, analyze logs, and respond to incidents.
• Troubleshoot network issues across fiber, SD-WAN, and IP layers; escalate when needed.
• Support network cutovers, migrations, and failover validation.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams and configuration records.
