Job summary

Cobec, Inc. is seeking a Mid-level Installation Technician to support FAA programs across remote field sites in the United States.

You will perform hands-on configuration, installation, and testing of NAS-related infrastructure, coordinating with FAA stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted NAS operations. Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certifications: BICSI INST1, INSTC, INSTF, Tech.
• Experience with FAA installation standards and field installations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and integration of National Airspace terminal systems at FAA field locations.
• Support planning and scheduling to align installation activities with safety windows.
• Participate in site surveys and readiness assessments, documenting existing infrastructure and constraints.
• Follow FAA technical documentation to install racks, cabling, and interfaces per engineering specs.
• Monitor and report system performance throughout the installation lifecycle.
• Coordinate with FAA Technical Operations, Engineering Services, and Program Offices to ensure NAS continuity.
• Communicate effectively in working groups and with stakeholders.
• Coordinate cabling requirements and deployments.
• Schedule meetings with site owners and scheduling teams.
• Test cables after install and document test results.
• Label and manage cables, terminate connectors, and organize cabling integrity.
