Job summary

Simmonds Precision in Vergennes, Vermont, is seeking an Inspector to validate conformance of parts and assemblies to drawings, customer specs, and FAA requirements. You’ll maintain records, interpret technical data, and ensure complete documentation before shipment.

The role emphasizes quality, compliance, and collaboration with manufacturing teams. FAA-related certifications or progress toward them are required within 3 months of hire, with health benefits and a strong focus on safety sensitive

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Minimum 18 months experience in Aerospace.
• Part 65 FAA Certified Airframe and power plant License or Repairman Certificate must be obtained within 3 months after hire.
• U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect multiple company products and/or commodities.
• Ensure product and company documentation is complete and accurate prior to shipment.
• Maintain inspection records and document discrepancies.
• Understand and interpret technical data (Manuals, Prints, and Procedures).
• Use proper inspection methods and equipment and support technicians' needs.
• Train others in quality requirements and inspection tasks.
• Generate return to service tags per FAA and international requirements.
