Job summary

Lone Star College’s Conroe Center seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Professional Pilot courses. The position is part-time and requires delivering engaging, standards-based instruction to support student learning and success.

You will use established syllabi, assess student progress, and coordinate with the aviation program and campus staff. The role offers schedule flexibility with day/evening/weekend classes, a focus on safety, and opportunities to contribute to a dynamic aviation

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in any field; FAA CFI Airplane and CFI Instrument OR AGI/IGI certifications required.
• Teaching experience in pilot courses is preferred.
• Ability to teach part-time across day/evening/weekend schedules.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Professional Pilot courses at a variety of times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Adheres to a course syllabus and institutional guidelines.
• Meets with and advises students outside class by appointment or electronic means.
• Maintains safety standards in line with FAA, AABI, and institution requirements.
