Job description

Responsibilities
  • Learn and coordinate all aspects of the STC certification process with internal stakeholders, the FAA, ODAs, DERs, and/or UMs
  • Support the FAA certification processes: authoring or reviewing plan submissions, conformity inspections, ground/flight tests, reports, etc.
  • Maintain and update existing STCs through the processing of Minor Changes
  • Support DO-160G and coordinate DO-178C Software and DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware efforts. Review hardware and software technical documentation and author certification documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify FAA certification regulations and requirements and determine methods of compliance
  • Support the revision and updating of existing processes and procedures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required
  • 0-2 years’ experience with FAA regulations, procedures and the STC process

  • 1-2 years of Engineering related experience and/or experience with FAA regulations, procedures and the STC process
  • Aircraft design or maintenance experience
  • Exposure to leading or managing projects (systems, software, or hardware)
  • Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178C, and DO-254
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Pay: 64,000.00 - 80,000.00 USD Annual
  • Target Annual Short-Term Incentive: Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
